So done because I am no longer going to just filter things, or leave my past entries public.
If you wish to leave me a message and ask to be added, by all means, do so.
When I get a chance to check you out, I'll add you on:)
What does one say about oneself?
I'm not known for doing the comment thing very often, preferring instead to read and be read by others.
I'm 31 years old, married for 7 years now to the man I love more than anything (we've been together for over 9 years). I have no children, but we're working on it diligently. In the place of kids, I have 4 cats. 2 sets of brothers. They are my babies. Added recently to the family is the oh-so-fabulous Dude the Hamster.
I work for a phone sex company. Yes, mine is the sultry voice at the other end of the line urging you to fulfill the carnal desires of your darkest dreamings. And yes, I have another journal specifically devoted to that career. If you're invited into my mad, mad world (all you have to do is ask) I'll tell you where to find it. *winks*
I live in Washington. 15 minutes outside downtown Seattle, actually. We just recently made the move...and we're still reeling from it, but despite the difficulties? It was totally worth it to get out of Texas. Both of us hated it there, and though I miss my family and friends, it had to happen. We'll make it work. Yes we will.
I have a BA in Psychology. It took me 10 years to get it, but it too was worth the wait. I haven't applied it to a job yet, but I'm hoping to eventually funnel it into Sex Therapy or Marriage Counseling. So far, I'm realizing that this is, in fact, what I need to be doing and my husband has decided it's what he needs to be doing as well. Look out world;)
I read. I cook (my second love is my Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer). I crochet, knit, and sew. I design websites. I can't draw to save my life, but give me Poser and Photoshop and I can stun you with my creativity. I play the flute when inspired to do so. I can carry a tune with my voice and can keep a beat with my body.
I'm a writer, with a novel in progress. Yes, I know, every writer dreams of having the "great published novel" but I'm willing to try. I've attempted NaNoWriMo, but got bored with it. It's a great place to jump off, but...not for me.
I wouldn't exactly call myself a Democrat, but everyone seems intent on labeling me as such (I am a liberal) so there you have it. I vote with the candidate whose platform I most agree with. As an aside note...I prefer not to engage in political debate because it can be exhausting. If your only reason to say something to me is to troll me or flame me, fuck off.
I have depression issues (not clinically diagnosed) that I work through on my own, with the support of my husband. I am trying to become a better person. I am, for a good majority of the time, very upbeat and positive. I always try to find a silver lining, even when one seems to be completely non-existent. I'm a cynic in one of the truest senses of the word and I don't trust people as far as I can throw them...but I'm working on it.
I'm a recovering theist. I suppose you could call me an Agnostic Atheist at this point, though I'm still trying to hammer down the details of what I believe. I don't believe in some invisible floating man in the sky, think that most religions are cults, and will still, in spite of this, respect your beliefs. I won't ridicule you for having whatever spirituality you have, outright, but please, if you don't want to hear my side of the debate, then don't start arguing with me. We'll get along much better that way:)
I enjoy honesty, and can, in fact, handle blunt honesty. I prefer it. I have a wonderful sense of humor and try to find the humor in every situation, even it if seems absent.
Does that cover it?
